The Shell Select website is an online photo gallery competition where users can win cameras worth R300 000. Registered users upload images and vote for their favourite images. Users can view images in three galleries: most voted, most viewed and most recent. The website is driven by a backend which allows an administrator to moderate users and uploaded images. Features of the website include: image upload and automatic resizing, image voting, ensuring users can only vote once per image, and the sending of an image to a friend via email.
