Shell InfoSight is a travel portal for South Africa and is among the top ten most visited sites in the SA. Skipjack redeveloped the site using PHP/MySQL from an existing ASP/MSSQL Microsoft platform. Key features of the site include map routing and map search capabilities, live news and weather, a live AA-rated accommodation booking system, travel book sales, golf package sales, and searchable databases for AA-rated accommodation and restaurants. Development technologies we implemented include Smarty Template caching, multiple database sources, dynamic Google sitemaps, jQuery, CAPTCHA image security and emailer functionality.
